Mavericks Earn Academic Recognition from ITA
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced its annual academic awards with the Omaha women's and men's tennis teams designated as ITA All-Academic Teams. Seven players from each team were also recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes for 2016-2017.

About the All-Academic Team Award and Scholar-Athlete Status
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letterwinners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the academic year, including the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet all of the following criteria:

Be a varsity letterwinner

Have a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year

Have been enrolled at her present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year)
Omaha Women's Tennis
The Mavericks compiled a 3.73 cumulative GPA in the 2016-17 academic year for ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
ITA Scholar-Athlete award winners included Emily Behling, Kylie Boyer, Kenzie Hill, Hannah Hills, Michelle Lo, Rachel Skolaski and Rylee Tucker.
Omaha Men's Tennis
The Mavericks compiled a 3.498 cumulative GPA in the 2016-17 academic year for ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
ITA Scholar-Athlete award winners included Colin Buckley, John Ellis, Louis-Jonas Heizlsperger, Luke Moorhead, Biraj Parajuli, Nathan Reekie and Alex Woodward.
