UNO Pikes Earn Top Chapter Recognition

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Pikes are celebrating a big honor.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Delta Chi Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity has earned the Robert Adger Smythe Award - the fraternity's highest undergraduate honor.
The Smythe Award recognizes academic success, community service, campus leadership and fraternity values.
This year, the Pikes were recognized for an overall grade point average of 3.23; 95 percent involvement in campus activities; 85 percent retention of new members; contribution of 10,602 hours and $61,911 to community service and their philanthropy; and their first-place ranking in fraternity intramural athletics on campus.
Delta Chi Chapter was also recognized with the Raymond L. Orians Chapter Excellence Award. The Raymond L. Orians Chapter Excellence Award recognizes overall chapter excellence. Chapters that win this award are amongst the best on their campus and Pi Kappa Alpha’s most competitive chapters.
