UNO Physics Fall Festival Provides Fun For The Whole Family

Looking for a fun, free weekend activity?
The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Department of Physics’ Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21, with a long list of activities that will keep little scientists, and their families, entertained.
Events will be held on the first floor of the Durham Science Center on UNO’s Dodge Campus. Activities will begin at 10 A.M. and finish at 2 P.M.
There is no cost or tickets needed to attend the Physics Fall Festival.
Activities will include:
- Screenings at the Kountze Planetarium.
- Demonstrations by CAPOW! (Chemistry and Physics on Wheels). Watch as chemistry and physics principles are introduced in an explosively entertaining manner.
- The Society of Physics Students will present their own science demonstrations.
The Mallory Kountze Science Store will also be open from 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. for anyone who wishes to purchase science toys. Faculty from the UNO Physics Department will be available to answer questions and give tours of the department.
