HELP STUDENTS PREPARE FOR THE SPRING CAREER FAIR
As we prepare for the Spring 2018 semester, the Academic & Career Development Center requests your assistance promoting the Spring 2018 Career & Internship Fair, which will be held on Thursday, March 1 at Baxter Arena.
This is a great opportunity for students of all academic levels and majors to connect with organizations actively recruiting interns and full-time positions. ACDC staff welcome the opportunity to give a 10 minute overview to classrooms or student groups about the career fair, ACDC services and how students can best prepare.
Please let us know if there is a date between Jan. 23 - Feb. 23 that would work for us to come give a brief presentation by filling out this online form.
CLASS AT THE FAIR
In addition to class room prep presentation, ACDC is opening up the all campus Spring Career & Internship as a place to host class on March 1, 2018.Students tell us the #1 reason for not attending the career fair is due to class conflict. At the same time, employers tell us the number one source of hiring comes from students attending the career fair. In particular, research from the National Association of Colleges and Employers 2018 Job Outlook points to an increase in employers hiring of new graduates by 4%.
Class at the Fair is as it sounds. We are opening up the all university Spring 2018 Career & Internship Fair and inviting all faculty and instructors that teach class on Thursday, March 1, 2018 between 11:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. to consider hosting class at Baxter Arena at their regularly scheduled time. The arena accommodates nearly 8,000 people. We welcome classes big and small to host their lectures in the arena seats before sending students off to network with employers.
Additional Details:
- Free parking will be available for all at Baxter Arena
- An ACDC professional can provide a fair overview and networking tips by request at the fair or before
- ACDC will conduct student check-ins for class attendance
