UNO Names Deb Derrick Employee of the Month
Deb Derrick has been awarded Employee of the Month for the month of December.

Deb Derrick, Grant Writer and Contract Manager for the College of Information Science and Technology, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for December.
The Celebration Committee surprised Deb with the award on Dec. 12, 2017.
Deb was nominated by her peers for her adaptability and expertise.
They said, “Deb is a deep thinker who goes beyond the expectations of her job. She takes extra care to ensure that IS&T’s grant-related data is managed and reported using the best practices.”
They continued, “She has stepped up and adapted to the increasing volume and complexity of research proposal submissions in IS&T…and research expenditures. Her institutional knowledge, along with her expertise in grants management make her an extremely valuable resource and high-impact contributor to IS&T.”
For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Deb will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space.
To nominate an employee, print and complete the nomination form and send it through campus mail to the Office of Human Resources, 205 EAB.
