PHISH Email Attempt Blocked

On Wednesday, Jan. 17, the ITS Security team identified a spear-phishing attack that targeted over 900 UNO email accounts. You may have received this email—the subject line was titled, "unomaha.edu”. The sender of the email was an iowacentral account.
The email asks for your credentials and pretends to be from unomaha.edu. Please delete this email. If you have responded to the email, please change your password immediately or contact the UNO helpdesk at 402.554.4357.
Please remember, faculty, staff and students should never click on or respond to any message that asks for credentials or personal information. UNO will never ask for individual login, password or other personal information via email. If you receive an email with hyperlinks, please hover over the link to determine if the link goes to a UNO.edu domain or type the URL into a web browser manually.
