UNO Bookstore Welcomes New Business Manager

The UNO Bookstore is excited to announce Chelsie Hansen as their new Business Manager. Chelsie’s first day was Jan. 2, 2018 and she will oversee UNO Bookstore operations and partnerships with the UNMC Bookstore and Baxter Arena’s Maverick Locker Room.

Chelsie is already a Maverick having earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communications from UNO’s College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media in 2009. Chelsie is joining the bookstore from Hy-Vee, where she has worked since 2007. During her time at Hy-Vee, she has overseen multiple departments which are responsible for over one million dollars in weekly average sales and 500 employees. Chelsie also has experience in retail product management, vendor collaborations, store promotions and many other aspects of retail operations. Most recently, Chelsie joined Hy-Vee’s accounting team where she gained experience with reconciliations, payroll, cash handling and other accountability procedures.

The Bookstore Manager position was previously held by Eric Hager who will be leaving UNO effective Jan. 19, 2018. We thank Eric for his service to the university for the past 2 ½ years and wish him luck in his future endeavors!

The UNO Bookstore looks forward to applying Chelsie’s unique mix of experience and knowledge in her new position as the bookstore’s Business Manager. Please help us welcome Chelsie to UNO!
