UNO Names Paula Slavin January's Employee of the Month

Paula Slavin, Staff Secretary III for Food Services, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for December.

The Celebration Committee surprised Paula with the award on Jan. 18, 2018.

Paula was nominated by her peers for her adaptability and expertise.

They said, “Food Services is an ever changing, spur of the moment business. Paula has the adaptability to not only handle the constant change but, to help others understand and adapt. It shows that she wants to see food services succeed and truly cares for others - that really shows the family and Mav spirit that is alive and well here at UNO.”

They continued, “Paula has performed her job above and beyond expectations. She even takes the time to help others in areas outside of food service, such as counting cash drawers in the business office or in the bookstore.”

For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Paula will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space.

To nominate an employee, print and complete the nomination form and send it through campus mail to the Office of Human Resources, 205 EAB.
