Dr. LaTrina Parker, P-16 Coordinator in the UNO Service Learning Academy, is the recipient of the Melvene D. Hardee Dissertation-of-the Year Award by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).
Her dissertation “Effects of Family Culture on the Racial Identity of African-American College Junior and Seniors” was selected in a national competition to recognize outstanding emergent scholarship.
Dr. Parker is a UNO alum with an undergraduate degree in communication and a master's degree in teacher education. She went on to receive her doctrate from St. Louis University.
