You are invited to take part in a research study about the perceptions of individuals with disabilities on UNO's campus.
The purpose of this study is to assess the current perceptions of individuals with disabilities held by faculty, staff, and students on the UNO campus. Your participation consists of completing a brief survey which is anonymous.
The questionnaire involves demographic information such as relationship type with an individual with a disability, gender, age, year in school, college, role in the university, frequency of contact with an individual with a disability, coursework taken specific to individuals with disabilities and the Interactions with Disabled Persons Scale. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and there is no risk involved in participating in this study.
Participants involved in this research study will not receive any any benefits other than the societal benefits of increased knowledge about the perceptions of individuals with disabilities on the UNO campus. This information may be used in future research to determine where needs for improvement exist. You have the right to not complete this survey or to discontinue the survey at any time without any penalty or ramifications. You do not have to participate in this research study if you do not wish to do so.
We appreciate your time and consideration.
