A UNO professor will be recognized at the Women's Center for Advancement (WCA's) 31st annual Tribute to Women. The luncheon will take place Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
The WCA's list of 10 distinguished honorees includes Dr. Karen Falconer Al-Hindi of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).
Falconer Al-Hindi is a Professor of Geography and Women’s & Gender Studies, and Director of UNO’s Women’s & Gender Studies Program. Her impressive academic career reflects expertise in geography; feminism; gender and work; as well as numerous issues that impact women, children, girls and families.
Also included on the list is Dr. Shireen Rajaram, Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Public Health.
The WCA's Tribute to Women Awards have become one of the most prestigious honors in Omaha. They recognize local women's impact on the community.
