The Academic & Career Development introduces Handshake – the new tech platform that lists current off campus employment opportunities. This is an exciting transition that will further connect students and alumni to meaningful work locally and nationwide. This site will serve as the central portal to learn when employers will be recruiting on campus, how to apply for off-campus jobs and internships, and scheduling career appointments with an ACDC career advisor. Handshake for students was launched on June 26, 2018 and will replace UNO Career Connect – the previous platform.
What does this mean for students?
- Students can continue to use UNO Career Connect through June 30, 2018 to view and apply for off campus jobs.
- Student access to UNO Career Connect will shut down on June 30, 2018. At that time, UNO Career Connect will no longer be available and you will no longer be able to retrieve any information (i.e., job postings, applications, resumes, etc.) or documents from the system. Please plan accordingly and download any information you wish to retain.
More information on the transition to Handshake can be found at: https://www.unomaha.edu/student-life/achievement/academic-and-career-development-center/students/uno-career-connect.php
If you have any other questions regarding on or off campus work opportunities, please contact the ACDC office at unoacdc@unomaha.edu or by calling 402.554.3672.
