The Academic & Career Development Center (ACDC) empowers students to explore, develop, and succeed at UNO and beyond. We prepare students for meaningful work by building bridges with campus, community, and employers. Services include Academic Advising, Career Exploration, Job/Internship Searching and more!
Recently, ACDC's Assistant Director Katie Wessel received an honor from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
A Recap of the Interview:
- Katie was recognized for the Member's Choice Award, an honor voted on by NACE's 10,000 members nation wide.
- The Member's Choice Award recognizes innovation in addressing a need in career services. The need is to expand the reach beyond a career center on campus.
- Katie began offering training in Oct. 2015 and has since offered training to over 75 faculty and staff members across campus who want to have career conversations with students.
- The ultimate goal is to get students thinking about why they chose their major and what they want to do with it after graduation.
