Changes Coming to Mail Service Operations

In an effort to increase efficiencies and continue to provide high-quality, personal service, several changes to operations within the UNO Mail Services offices are being planned that will take effect in the coming weeks and months.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 27, window service hours will be changing to 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Outside of these hours, the personal service window will be closed; however, Mail Services staff will still be able to assist with any requests by calling the main office line at 402.554.2337. Outbound mail can still be dropped off at the slots adjacent to the service window. To have mail postmarked on the same day, mail needs to be received by 3:30 p.m.

In addition to adjusted hours for the service window, Mail Services has begun moving to a central point of mail pickup and delivery for campus buildings. The move to a central pickup and delivery location will not have any impact on how parcels are collected and delivered.

Some buildings have already begun their move to a central collection and delivery location, while other buildings will be making their adjustments in the coming months.
