The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in memory of UNO retiree James B. Johnson. Johnson passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 and was 77 years old at the time of his death.
Johnson’s career at UNO began on September 1, 1969 and ended with his retirement on September 1, 2008. During his time on campus, he worked as a professor in the Department of Political Science. Following his retirement, he was recognized by the department as an emeritus faculty member.
Johnson is survived by his wife Beverly.
