An exciting opportunity for students and entrepreneurs; the Maverick Venture Fund is looking for small businesses and startups to invest money in. Founded by UNO students and alumni, the Maverick Venture Fund invests seed capital into startups and small businesses.

If you own a small business, know of one, or want to start one, contact venture fund analyst, Jessica Kneifl, at jrkneifl@unomaha.edu for a chance to strike up an investment deal with the Maverick Venture Fund.

Contact us with basic information about your business and in return the Maverick Venture Fund promises to respond to you in a timely manner. If we are interested or want to know more, we will ask you to create a business plan and presentation.

If you decide you are interested, please provide the following information in your email:

  • Your name, business name, and contact info
  • Describe the product or service the business offers or will offer
  • What is the business or what are your plans for the business in the future?
  • Why do you need an investment?

Students, faculty and staff are all invited to apply for funding.
