- Technology Excellence Award
The Technology Excellence Award, offered in Kearney for the past eight years, is now open for all Information Technology Services throughout the system. This is an opportunity to recognize ITS staff for their hard work and achievements.
The University of Nebraska Technology Excellence Award recognizes the exemplary performance of Information Technology Services staff members who consistently provide a level of service significantly above and beyond specific job responsibilities.
To be eligible, employees must report directly to Information Technology Services and must have completed at least one year of service prior to the award application deadline. Recognition for the award will be based on an individual’s commitment in terms of job performance; a commitment to service for students, faculty and/or staff; and contributions to the profession.
Nominations for the Technology Excellence Award may be made by faculty, staff, or co-workers. A letter addressing the nominee’s exemplary contributions, accomplishments and job performance, and/or extraordinary service to faculty, staff and students is to be submitted to the campus CIO by Aug. 1. All letters will be treated as confidential.
Nominations will be reviewed by a 6-member committee with two representatives from the UNK, UNO, and UNL Faculty Senate IT committees. The committee may request additional information about the nominees. The top three nominees will be submitted to the Campus CIOs by Aug. 1. The Award will be announced in September.
