Enrollment Management Welcomes Lina Stover

Enrollment Management is pleased to announce Lina Traslaviña Stover as the Director of Undergraduate Admission. Lina officially started her new role in April 2018.

In her role, Lina will be responsible for undergraduate admissions operations and student recruitment. She will be in charge of working with diverse campus stakeholders, developing strategies for maximum efficiency to enroll a highly qualified and diverse student body.

Dr. Traslaviña Stover has been involved with the Admissions process in multiple capacities for the past 10 years. In her most recent position she served as the Associate Director for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions here at UNO.

Her academic work has concentrated in improving access to higher education for underrepresented populations as well as the use of qualitative methodologies to analyze admissions practices. Her dissertation explores “Latino/a students maneuvering through the college admissions and retention systems.” Some of the themes included late engagement in the admissions process (compared to the traditional models) and a focus (solely) on funding for decision making.
