UNO’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter earned two national awards presented at the PRSSA National Conference Oct. 8 in Austin, Texas.
The chapter earned the F.H. Teahan National Chapter Award for Outstanding Regional Conference, “Big Events in the Big O", held April 6 and 7, 2018. The conference drew 85 attendees from seven states in the Midwest.
A team of students also placed third in the National Organ Donor Awareness Competition for its Mythbusters campaign and campus event on April 3, 2018. The event partnered with Nebraska Organ Recovery and featured a panel of three millennial organ donor recipients.
In addition, Zach Dinslage, immediate past president and May 2018 graduate, received a National Presidential Award for his service to the chapter.
