UNO Television recently upgraded decades-old equipment to 4K HDTV equipment. The $130,000 project was made possible by grants from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association, the Knowledge Network, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
UNO Television is a teaching studio, providing students hands-on learning experience. A recent example of these experiences includes The Omaha News’ 2018 Midterms Election Special, where students relayed live updates from the studio and campaign watch parties.
Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D. recently sat down with Dr. Chris Allen, professor in the UNO School of Communication and General Manager of UNO Television, to learn more about UNO Television's 4K upgrade.
