The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 in memory of UNO retiree Robert Gates.
Robert passed away on Jan. 22, 2019. He was 92 years old at the time of his passing.
Robert began working at UNO in August of 1976 as the head baseball coach. He retired from the university 23 years later in June of 1999.
Robert is survived by his children Kerry (Matt) Nunn, Casey R. (Kim) Gates; grandchildren, Ellen, Reid, Miles, Ethan and Julia.
