Maverick Presence Strong In 2019 WCA Tribute to Women

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) holds a strong presence on the 2019 Tribute to Women list of honorees. Of the 10 names on the list, five of them are UNO alums.
Every year the Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) recognizes the impact that local women make on the Omaha community. In its 32nd year, the WCA’s Tribute to Women Awards have become one of the most prestigious honors in Omaha.
This year’s list includes:
Cynthia Gonzalez - B.S., Journalism
Reporter, Omaha World-Herald
Anne Hindery - MPA, Public Administration
CEO, Nonprofit Association of the Midlands
Andrea Kathol - MPA, Public Administration
Owner, Field Day Development
Jamalia L. Parker - MSW, Social Work
Director of Family Engagement Services, Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties
Dr. Athena Ramos - MBA, Business Administration; CPM, Certified Public Manager
Assistant Professor, UNMC College of Public Health
All of the honorees will be celebrated for the extraordinary efforts at a luncheon in June 2019.
