Next time you book a flight with American Airlines, be sure to take a look at what is in the pocket of the seat in front of you.
American Way, American Airline’s in-flight magazine, featured the Omaha metro in its March 2019 issue, including the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). The publication talks about UNO’s role in shaping the future workforce across the state of Nebraska.
“I truly believe that UNO is the university of opportunity, where faculty members and staff can have career trajectories that are incredibly satisfying and can work together without having to compete, and most important, with a focus on our students,” said Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D. “We are focused on the concept of creating opportunity for young people, and when they come, we are just laser-focused on their success.”
The spotlight calls attention to UNO’s integration with the community, mentioning UNO’s Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center and its cutting-edge work in programs such as biomechanics and cybersecurity.
Also highlighted in the March issue is UNO’s “Access to Exceptional” recruitment campaign. It was designed to reflect UNO’s 110-year-old mission to improve lives through access to exceptional education, research and service, while also putting a renewed focus on student stories.
