Susan Troester, Staff Assistant for the School of Public Administration, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for April.
The Celebration Committee surprised Susan with the award and refreshments on April 4, 2019.
Susan was nominated by her peers for her flexibility and customer service qualities.
They said, “When the enrollment process hits its high volume in October/November and March/April, Sue always offers to assist when the demand is high with student inquiries. She takes time out of her busy days to support our students and shorten response time. Sue performs extra duties by working with students who need permission numbers to enroll in their courses.”
They continue, “Sue is the ‘face’ of the School of Public Administration in the sense that she is the first person seen by anyone who walks into our office and everyone is greeted with a smile, a ‘hello’ and ‘how may I help you?’.”
For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Susan will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space. The Staff Advisory Council congratulated Susan by providing snacks and fare for the Employee of the Month to enjoy with peers and department members in celebration.
To nominate an employee, print and complete the nomination form and send it through campus mail to the Office of Human Resources, 205 EAB.
