VPN Changes to Take Effect May 19
Information Technology Services will consolidate virtual private network (VPN) services at several University of Nebraska locations, including UNO, into one single VPN; May 19.
On Sunday, May 19, Information Technology Services will consolidate virtual private network (VPN) services at several University of Nebraska locations, including UNO, into one single VPN, which can be accessed at vpn.nebraska.edu.
This consolidation will allow VPN users to only have to log in once to access secure services at any of the campuses, strengthening security while also requiring fewer accounts and passwords. Please note that the login will now use TrueYou credentials (NUID) in place of your NetID credentials.
Below are instructions for how to login the first time after the change on May 19. If you have not logged in for a while, the client may automatically upgrade on your first login. After you go through the process once, the new vpn.nebraska.edu url will be stored in your client and should not need to be changed again.
More information about updates to the VPN can be found at its.unomaha.edu/vpn. For additional support, contact the UNO Help Desk at 402.554.4357 or unohelpdesk@nebraska.edu.
