UNO Student Body President Aya Yousuf sits down with Chancellor Gold to talk about her time on campus, what attracted her to run and her goals as President.

Aya was born in Baghdad, Iraq before she moved to Michigan and then Omaha where she attended high school. She is a Political Science student entering her junior year at UNO.

Her love for meeting new people and advocating for their needs and wants is what attracted Aya to run for Student Body President.

Aya's biggest goal is to focus on student engagement; providing resources and communities that her peers need to succeed during their time at UNO.

Aya has been involved in Student Government since her freshman year, as well as the Goodrich Scholarship Program, University Honors Program and the United Nations Association.
