The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Monday, July 15, 2019 in memory of UNO retiree Harvey Leavitt.
Harvey passed away on July 8, 2019. He was 85 years old at the time of his passing.
While at UNO, Harvey worked as an associate professor in the English Department within the College of Arts and Sciences from September 1968 up until his retirement in September of 2003.
Harvey is survived by his wife Debra Kiel-Leavitt.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Harvey’s loved ones during this difficult time.
