Construction taking place along the sidewalk just south of the Pep Bowl will cause it to close for one day on Tuesday, July 2. The stretch that is closing runs from Arts and Sciences Hall to Allwine Hall. During the closure, those on campus are asked to utilize the sidewalk just north of the Pep Bowl.
The closure will allow for the installation of a statue to commemorate Maverick alum and Football Hall-of-Famer Marlin Briscoe. The installation process will continue through the rest of July.
Find out more about Briscoe, his football career and his time on campus.
