Sidewalk South of Pep Bowl to Close July 22

Construction taking place along the sidewalk just south of the Pep Bowl will impact travel along that stretch from Friday, July 19 through Monday, July 22.

Construction taking place along the sidewalk just south of the Pep Bowl will impact travel along that stretch from Friday, July 19 through Monday, July 22. The section of sidewalk that is closing runs from Arts and Sciences Hall to Allwine Hall.

Construction will leave the sidewalk partially open on Friday, July 19 but will close the stretch completely on Monday, July 22.

During the closure, those on campus are asked to utilize the sidewalk just north of the Pep Bowl.

The closure will allow for the installation of a statue to commemorate Maverick alum and Football Hall-of-Famer Marlin Briscoe. The installation process will continue through the rest of July.
