Cristián Doña-Reveco, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Latino / Latin American Studies (OLLAS) sits down with Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D. to discuss Arte LatinX, an exhibition featuring Nebraskan LatinX artists.

The mission of Arte LatinX is to create a biennial art exhibition bringing together LatinX artists from all over Nebraska. Interested in submitting your own art? Learn more about the exhibition.

  • Arte LatinX is the second art exhibition on latino artists that UNO has had. The first was called the Latino Art Exhibit and took place four years ago.

  • The name was decidedly changed to Arte LatinX to encompass all of the different identities within the Latino community.

  • Latino artists from all over the state of Nebraska are invited to showcase their art in this exhibit.

  • OLLAS is partnering with El Museo Latino in South Omaha to house the main exhibit. They are also partnering with several smaller art institutions in Omaha to provide art workshops for interested artists.

  • The opening reception will take place on Septmber 12, 2019 and the exhibit will run all the way until October 12, 2019.
