Join the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) and Office of Digital Learning for one or both sessions of Part-Time Faculty Orientation. These unique sessions, held over Zoom, include a brief overview of resources available to faculty on the UNO campus as well as an overview of UNO’s online learning platform, Canvas.
These sessions are available for all new and returning full and part-time faculty and instructors.

Session 1 | Tuesday, Aug. 17
Learn more about UNO students and the academic and co-curricular supports available to help you create exceptional educational experiences. The Digital Learning team will demonstrate basic Canvas functions: posting a syllabus, organizing your course, and creating initial assignments. Other resources to support your teaching strategies will be shared. Several opportunities to ask questions and make further connections with your colleagues will be provided.

Session 2 | Wednesday, Aug. 18
The second session features additional support resources and a deeper dive into Canvas. Topics of interaction and discussion as well as assessment functions in Canvas (assignments, quizzes, and grading) will be covered. Bring your questions for our “Ask Me Anything” segment.
