Kohout Welcomed as New Director of State & Community Relations

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) welcomes Victoria Kohout as the university’s new Director of State and Community Relations. Her first day will be Monday, Oct. 7.
Kohout brings significant leadership experience in the areas of public relations, community relations and advocacy. She comes to UNO by way of the Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures, where she served more than a decade as the organization’s executive director.
At UNO, Kohout will strategically increase connections between UNO and the community through education, outreach, advancement and other activities. She will work with various UNO groups in conducting these programs and activities with UNO stakeholders such as community and neighborhood leaders, business leaders, elected officials and staff, as well as UNO alumni. This position is housed within UNO’s Office of University Communications.
