UNO Names Rebecca Gratz Employee of the Month

Rebecca Gratz, Multimedia Specialist within University Communications, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for September.

The Celebration Committee surprised Rebecca with the award and refreshments on Sept. 9, 2019.

Rebecca was nominated by her peers for her exceptional work and uplifting attitude.

They said, “Rebecca lives UNO’s values, particularly excellence, inclusion and engagement. Her photos and videos perfectly capture what it means to be a Maverick in stunning quality. From an impromptu grin lighting up an AFROTC cadet’s face to a parent giving a bear hug to one of our new grads, Rebecca has a knack for catching special moments.”

They continue, “She is great at connecting with our clients and capturing their unique personalities in every picture she takes. Aside from her relationship with colleagues around campus, Rebecca is such a fun person to have in the office. Great for jokes and laughs, she is always in an uplifting mood and it helps keep everyone in our busy office very positive.”

For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Rebecca will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space. The Staff Advisory Council congratulated Rebecca by providing snacks and fare for the Employee of the Month to enjoy with peers and department members in celebration.
