Representative Cummings passed away Oct. 17, 2019 at the age of 68.

In accordance with a proclamation from President Donald J. Trump, Governor Pete Ricketts has announced that all U.S. and Nebraska flags are to be flown at half-staff from Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 through Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 in honor of Elijah E. Cummings.

Representative Cummings passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2019 at the age of 68. He had served in the House of Representatives since 1996 as a representative from Maryland.
