The Office of University Communications is excited to welcome Elizabeth Billington as the team’s new Director of Digital Communications. Her first day will be Friday, Nov. 1.
Billington brings significant experience to the role, including work in digital marketing, higher education and graphic design. Most recently she served as Director of Marketing for Bellevue-based Tigerpaw Software, a role she came to after five years on the marketing team of Nebraska Methodist College. She has migrated more than 5,000 web pages, organized complicated digital workflows, led digital brand overhauls and created print and digital campaigns.
At UNO, Billington will provide leadership, management, vision and accountability in setting the strategic direction of the university's digital communications. University Communications Executive Director Makayla McMorris said Billington’s experience and vision make her a perfect fit for the role.
“Elizabeth is unquestionably the right person to build on our collaborative momentum and execute on big picture thinking for the next chapter of digital communications at UNO,” McMorris said.
Billington holds a B.S. in Digital Marketing from Bellevue University and an associate’s degree in design from The Creative Center.
