A limited number of additional parking spaces are now open for use on the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Scott Campus.
Beginning on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, UNO students, faculty and staff with the proper valid parking permit will have the option of parking in one of 54 stalls directly west of Mammel Hall.
The lot will be designated as Lot 6 on campus parking maps and outdoor signage. A faculty/staff/student surface permit is required to park in these stalls from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. Monday through Thursday. These spots are not available to students with resident permits.
Lot 6 is a single aisle located between the fencing on the east side of construction on the former First Data property and the west side of the Mammel Hall construction staging area. Signage will be posted to help drivers navigate and campus parking maps will be updated to show where Lot 6 is located.
Drivers can enter the lot from an access road south of Lot 5 and northwest of Mammel Hall or by turning in from Pine Street between 67th Street and Aksarben Drive. The Aksarben Drive entrance at the stoplight is closed to UNO traffic.
Anyone parking in these spots should use the sidewalk south of the parking lot along Pine Street to safely walk to Mammel Hall, the Peter Kiewit Institute, or other campus buildings. No sidewalks are available on the north side of the lot.
Parking spaces on Scott Campus are also available at the Pacific Street Garage located at 67th and Pacific Streets. This garage, which opened in 2017, generally has parking spaces available and provides convenient curbside access to shuttle service to UNO’s Dodge Campus.
If students, faculty or staff wish to exchange parking permits, they can do so at the UNO Parking Services building on 67th Street by the Pacific Street Garage.
