UNO Names Barb Harvey Employee of the Month

Barb Harvey, Administrative Coordinator within UNO's Human Resources Department, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for December.

The Celebration Committee surprised Barb with the award and refreshments on Nov. 26, 2019.

Barb was nominated by her peers for adaptability and Maverick Spirit.

They said, “Barb continuously performs above and beyond the scope of her job. She is always looking for ways to improve processes by making them more effective and efficient.”

They continue, “Very active with volunteering to assist the UNO community with various activities, Barb serves as an outstanding ambassador to UNO. She embodies the UNO Maverick Spirit on an informal basis by constantly telling individuals what a great place UNO is to work as well as attend as a student.”

For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Barb will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space. The Staff Advisory Council congratulated Barb by providing snacks and fare for the Employee of the Month to enjoy with peers and department members in celebration.

To nominate an employee, print and complete the nomination form and send it through campus mail to the Office of Human Resources, 205 EAB.
