Flag Lowering for Willa Bruce

The UNO flag will be lowered for UNO retiree Willa Bruce, who recently passed away.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 in memory of UNO retiree Willa Bruce.

Willa passed away on Jan. 4, 2020. She was 81 years old at the time of her passing.

While at UNO, Willa worked as a professor in the School of Public Administration from July of 1985 until her retirement in June of 1998.

Willa is survived by her husband, Dr. James. W. Blackburn.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Willa’s loved ones during this difficult time.
