The Conduct Officers at the four University of Nebraska campuses have collaborated in coordination with the University of Nebraska Office of the General Counsel to develop a system-wide Student Code of Conduct.
As a part of this process, the draft Student Code of Conduct has been posted online for a minimum of 30 days to serve as a campus review and comment period. Following the review period, feedback will be implemented as appropriate and a final draft will be referred to the Board of Regents for final approval.
The following draft is now open for review and comment on the campus policy library:
As part of the proposed system-wide Code, UNO has the ability to determine the process for Hearing Board selection on campus. UNO’s current procedures for Hearing Board member selection will be continued as part of the new Code of Conduct. This includes a seven panel board (4 students, 2 faculty, 1 staff member). Students are appointed by Student Government, faculty by Faculty Senate, and staff by combination of Chancellor appointment and Staff Advisory Council.
