Lindsey Parde, Staff Assistant within the Sociology & Anthropology Department as well as Women's & Gender Studies, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for February.
The Celebration Committee surprised Lindsey with the award and refreshments on Feb. 5, 2020.
Lindsey was nominated by her peers for dedication and flexibility.
They said, “Lindsey’s job performance is characterized by extraordinary reliability, competence, and attitude. She provides her own ideas for improving the department and its procedures which have been universally accepted by the faculty.”
They continue, “As the public face of our department, Lindsey is extraordinarily welcoming to students and other visitors to our department. Dr. Alecia Anderson states that ‘her positivity has a great effect on our work environment’.”
For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Lindsey will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space. The Staff Advisory Council congratulated Lindsey by providing snacks and fare for the Employee of the Month to enjoy with peers and department members in celebration.
