Mail Services at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will implement changes in operations as the University of Nebraska system restricts campus access to essential personnel.
Beginning Monday, April 13, delivery to most campus locations will be suspended as part of this transition. All campus mail will be held in the Eppley Administration Building mailroom and sorted by department. A designee from each department will be given proper access to the building to pick up mail from the Mail Service Counter located at 106 Eppley Administration Building. This designee should contact John Larson at jplarson@unomaha.edu to obtain access.
The Mail Service counter will continue to be available under its normal operating hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Standard services such as the availability of postage stamps and envelopes for purchase and assistance with mailing packages will continue to be available.
Exceptions will be made to attempt delivery of certain packages to campus departments. These are limited to packages with frozen material; living things such as plants and insects; and packages with special delivery instructions. All exception requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis by Business and Finance in conjunction with UNMC Mail Services, who are responsible for mail services on the UNO campus. Departments with special delivery handling needs should contact Mail Services at 402.559.5315.
Questions regarding these changes, designating personnel for mail pickup or campus delivery exemptions can be directed to Mail Services by phone at 402.559.5315 or by email at unomailservices@unomaha.edu.
