The University of Nebraska at Omaha's Queer and Trans Services (QTS) are offering transgender students with affirming support during the uncertain times of COVID-19.
Until May 8, QTS will gift students with one gender-affirming item on their wishlist up to $100. This item can be anything from makeup, to clothes to a new binder for class. All students have to do is fill out a Google Formwith their UNO email address and QTS will purchase the student's item for them.
Because campus is currently not open to students, items must be shipped. If they cannot be shipped to the student's home address, QTS will hold onto items until campus opens back up. Students will then be able to pick up their item from Jesse Hitchins' office in the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center in 124 MBSC.
Questions can be directed to Torie Walenz, director of Queer and Trans Services at vwalenz@unomaha.edu.
