Hanna Wanzenried Solberg, Academic Advisor in the College of Education, was recently named UNO’s Employee of the Month for April.
The Celebration Committee surprised Hanna with the award on April 29, 2020.
Hanna was nominated by her peers for her dedication and knowledge of the campus.
They said, “Hanna is a listener and a coach. Whether working with students, advisors, front-desk staff or campus partners, she asks great questions and offers thoughtful feedback.”
They continue, “A two-time UNO alum, Hanna knows and loves our institution and serves it wholeheartedly. Her expertise at mentoring first-year students has led her to teach the University Studies freshman seminar and her care for UNO staff has led her to represent us on the Staff Advisory Council.”
For being nominated as Employee of the Month, Hanna will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event and use of a designated parking space.
To nominate an employee, complete the nomination form and send it to unohr@unomaha.edu.
