Faculty Senate Elects Leadership for 2020-2021

Faculty Senate serves as the governing body empowered to represent the UNO faculty. It includes representatives from each major academic unit.

Faculty Senate elections took place Wednesday, May 13, acknowledging outgoing senators and introducing new senators. The Faculty Senate meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September through May, at 2 P.M. in the Community Engagement Center, Room 230/231 on the second floor. The senate serves as the governing body empowered to represent the UNO faculty. It includes representatives from each major academic unit.

2020-2021 Faculty Senate President

C. Elliot Ostler, Ph.D.

Ostler, a professor of education leadership in the College of Education succeeds former Faculty Senate President Matt Hale, Ph.D., assistant professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Informatics in the College of Information Science and Technology.

Sajda Qureshi, Ph.D., professor of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis in the College of Information Science & Technology; and

Jeanne Surface, Ph.D., associate professor in educational leadership in the College of Education.
