The Maverick community is mourning the loss of UNO retiree Jim Thorson
Thorson passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was 73 years old at the time of his passing.
While at UNO, Thorson was a professor in the Department of Gerontology from July 1977, up until his retirement in July 2010.
He is survived by his wife Judy.
The UNO flag will be lowered in Thorson honor at a later date.
