The Maverick community is mourning the loss of UNO retiree Peter Hill.
Hill passed away on Monday, April 20; he was 86 years old at the time of his passing.
While at UNO, Hill was professor in the Art and Art History department from September of 1958, up until his retirement in September of 2000.
He is survived by his wife Joan and his daughter, Mary Achelpohl, who is a UNO employee in the College of Education.
The UNO flag will be lowered in Hill’s honor at a later date.
