Barb Harvey, administrative coordinator within the Office of Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion (DEAI), has been recognized as Employee of the Year at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).
The recipient of the Employee of the Year Award is typically recognized during the Faculty Senate and Staff Advisory Council banquet held annually in April. The 2020 banquet was canceled as the university had shifted to remote operations delaying the announcement of this award.
Harvey was named Employee of the Month in November 2019. She was nominated for the recognition by her peers due to her adaptability, embodiment of the Maverick Spirit, advocacy for the university, efforts to streamline and optimize processes, readiness to respond to challenges, and knowledge of her position.
Her nominators said, “Barb is extremely knowledgeable of her position and is often the ‘go-to’ person when individuals are not sure where to turn for an answer. She will often take upon herself to search down an appropriate answer if it is outside the scope of her responsibilities.”
Congratulations Barb!
