Mutual of Omaha employees have the opportunity to register for courses without out-of-pocket tuition costs – an innovative approach that differs from traditional employer reimbursement programs that often require employees to pay for classes up-front.
“A great education is a powerful vehicle for professional development and personal growth, which is why we are thrilled to collaborate with UNO,” Mutual of Omaha Director of Human Resources Andrea Hargus said. “This unique collaboration not only helps Mutual of Omaha meet our workforce development goals – it strengthens the more than 100-year-old bonds we have with the Omaha community.”
The innovative partnership will give Mutual of Omaha employees around the country access to select courses available through flexible on-campus, fully online, or remote course delivery options. Renowned academic programs available to employees include data analytics, information science, and financial course. UNO offers nationally accredited programs such as its AACSB-accredited business school or its National Security Agency-accredited program in cybersecurity.
“UNO is fully committed to the lifelong success of the individuals we welcome into our campus community, regardless of when, where or how they begin their academic journey,” UNO Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold M.D. said. “Mutual of Omaha employees will find that each of the accredited and nationally renowned programs they have an opportunity to explore encourage curiosity, independent thinking, entrepreneurism, and foster a spirit of inclusion that will serve them well in their workplace and communities.”
Mutual of Omaha employees interested in taking part in the program can learn more through the Associate Access website.
