Presence Helps Students Stay Connected, Be Involved
Launched this summer, Presence is a new campus engagement platform for UNO students that can not only help find ways to be involved, but track involvement activities over a student's time as a Maverick.

Students looking to stay engaged and involved with campus activities now have a new tool to help them navigate - and create - experiences that meet their needs.
This August, UNO launched the "Presence" engagement portal, which serves as the virtual gathering space for all student involvement events - including clubs and organizations; Omaha Greeks; spirit and tradition events; fundraisers; and more.
"Students and, honestly, the entire campus community, have already made great use of this new tool during these unusual times," explained Dustin Wolfe, associate director of student involvement for UNO. "In the months, and years, to come - we know that Presence will become an incredible asset for our students, and our campus."
Presence's user-friendly interface allows students to easily search for campus events or find organizations they may want to be a part of, or begin the process to create something completely new that meets their needs.
Additionally, getting connected through Presence is made simple because anyone with a UNO email already has an account established and logging in is as easy as inputting your UNO login name and password.
Perhaps most importantly, the benefits of Presence don't begin and end with just identifying and signing up for campus activities. Students can also keep track of their campus involvement through Presence during their time at UNO and get access to a robust record of clubs, organizations, volunteer opportunities, and other activities that they have participated in, which can be used to supplement resumes and applications for internships or jobs.
"We understand that students want to be engaged and they want to do all the things they normally would in order to have a robust college experience," Wolfe said. "That is why Presence is such a great tool for us to have - to help our campus community find and create those opportunities as easily as possible."
