Students: Share Your Opinions on Voting and Civic Engagement
With the general election just days away, a survey has launched to understand UNO student opinions about voting in the 2020 election and civic engagement more broadly.Â
Participate in the Survey
All students are invited to participate in the short survey by going to cpar.unomaha.edu/2020VotingSurvey.
The survey will close on Nov. 1, 2020. All current full-time or part-time students are encouraged to complete the survey as soon as they can.
About the Survey
UNO researchers created the survey to learn more about students’ attitudes and opinions about civic engagement leading up to this historic election. UNO students are a large and diverse voting bloc in Omaha. Understanding how they feel about the upcoming election and their interest in participating will be important for interpreting the outcomes of the elections as well as helping the campus community to understand how to best support students in deepening their interest in civic life.
The survey also asks questions about some hot topics leading up to the election, including, mail-in voting and the coronavirus.
Survey Results
After the survey closes a report of the results will be shared on the cpar.unomaha.edu website. The anonymized data may also be shared with other universities that are conducting similar surveys to learn more about the opinion of college students nationally.
